SMYRNA, Tenn. — A Tennessee gas station is donating 50 cents from every gallon sold to the family of a clerk who was fatally shot during an attempted robbery last month. The Twice Daily Shell Station in Smyrna is offering the donations beginning Thursday, according to the Smyrna Police Department's Facebook page. Nicholas Patterson, 34, was killed Aug. 30 when he was shot by a man who came into the store and demanded money, WZTV reported. Keanthony Williams, 31, was arrested and charged with first-degree murder and attempted aggravated robbery, according to the television station.
